Our 11U All Star team hosted their Home Tournament this past weekend.  They picked up where they left off last weekend, showing continued improvement.  They earned a hard fought, 10-8, victory against Barnstable in the first game.  Tyler Manchuk, Jake Larivee and Hayden Cook all pitched and contributed solid innings.  There were some strong plays in the field and everyone reached base safely at least once.   Jake Larivee and Zac Martin led the way with 2 runs scored each and Tyler Manchuk helped his own cause with 2 RBI’s.

In their second game, against Brewster, Colin Potter pitched a solid game and the boys won 6-4.   There were many solid plays in the field, including several by Jean-Louis Marjollet at shortstop and Zac Martin in Centerfield.  Zac had a great catch and threw a tagging runner out at the plate.  Michael Webster and Jean-Louis Marjollet both scored 2 runs and CJ Lombard and Jake Larivee both added a run each.  Hayden Cook, Tyler Ayer, and Jake Larivee all had RBI’s.  It was a total team effort and probably the best all around game that the boys played so far this All Star Season.

With the 2-0 start, the team earned the #2 seed coming into Sunday.  They would end up facing a tough DY team.  Tyler Ayer and Jean-Louis Marjollet both scored runs and Tyler Manchuk contributed an RBI.  The boys would come up on the losing end of this one.

The 11U All Stars represented themselves Great by going 2-1 on the weekend.  The Tournament went well and there were several compliments by the other coaches who enjoyed playing at our field.  Sandwich would win the Tournament by knocking off DY in the Final.

The 11U team have this weekend off.  They will return to play Barnstable under the lights on Monday night and then the Sandwich Tournament the following weekend.

Go Sharks!!!
